  • If you only visit one glacier in your life, make it this one. I’ve seen my fair share of glaciers and icebergs in Antarctica, Greenland and Svalbard — but nothing compares to the Perito Moreno Glacier. ❄️Perito Moreno is one of the few glaciers in the world that is growing instead of shrinking! This means you have a good chance of seeing the glacier cracking and ice bits breaking off. ⚠️ #1 TIP: Go early! Gates open at 8am, so leave El Calafate at 7am and you’ll have the place to yourself. We arrived at 8.30am and were the only ones on the walkway for 1+ hour. ‼️#2 TIP: Don’t join a day tour. You’ll be herded around like sheep, amidst the crowd. Rent a car (we paid $70/day) and see it on your own. There’s a bus but it costs $50. 🚐 How to Get There Perito Moreno is 1 hour from the town of El Calafete in Argentina. Flights to El Calafate from Buenos Aires are 3 hours and cost around US$150/way. 💰 Cost You can actually go ice-hiking on the glacier, but those tours cost US$400+/person! If you rent a car, you’ll only pay the 42,000 peso entrance fee (around US$35). 🥾 Hikes There are 4 different walking trails you can do on the board walk with varying length and difficulty. Start with sender inferior (red), which brings you to the closest point to the glacier. Then do the sendero central (yellow) which gives elevated views of the glacier, and then sendero costanera (blue) all the way to the port. 🛥️ Boat Cruise At the port, there is a 1-hour boat tour that you can do around the glacier.   • Our first stop in Patagonia was Torres del Paine National Park in Chile 🇨🇱 and it completely blew our mind! We had an incredible time hiking and camping in the shadows of the soaring mountains, glaciers and golden pampas (grasslands). Our kid loved camping, hiking up to viewpoints and spotting wildlife. Here’s our mini-guide to help you plan your trip: Getting there ✈️ The closest airport is in Puertos Natales, 2hours from the national park. Flights from Santiago take 3 hours and are relatively cheap (US$120/person）. Pro tip 🚐 Accommodation is extremely pricey in the national park, so many people end up staying in Puerto Natales and doing a daytrip in (like I did on my first trip). Please DON’T do that - you don’t get to hike/see much as the drive alone is 2hr each way! Camping 🏕️ This time we stayed in the national park and it made a HUGE difference! We woke up to amazing views and went on short hikes from our campsite. Hotels in the park are around US$500-1000/night, but there are tons of campsites and refugios that aren’t crazy expensive. We paid $160 for a dome at @campingpehoe which was very basic but worked for us. Cost 💰 Patagonia is expensive (close to Norway/Sweden prices) but there are some ways to keep cost down. We bought groceries in Puerto Natales and packed lunch, but ate dinner at the campground restaurant ($15-20/main course). We didn’t book any guided tours and just hiked on our own. Trails are well marked and easy to follow. Best Trails to Hit 🥾 TORRES BASE HIKE - A challenging 8-9 hour hike (roundtrip) to see the iconic torres. I did this on my first trip but it’s too difficult for kids. 🥾MIRADOR CUERNOS - A 2-hour flat hike (roundtrip) to see panoramic views of the iconic cuernos and Cerro Paine. 🥾 MIRADOR CONDOR - 1.5-hour steep hike up a hill to see similar views. My kid’s fav hike cos she enjoys climbing up! 🥾 MIRADOR LAGO GREY - An easy 1-hour hike thru pine forests and onto the grey sand beach for a peek at the Grey Glacier. #torresdelpaine #chilepatagonia #patagoniawithkids #chíletravel #worldschooling #chilewithkids #digitalnomadswithkids

  • In Chiang Mai, Thailand 🇹🇭, we stumbled upon a real airplane converted into a cafe that was so cute we had to check it out! ✈️ @AirDiamond.Cafe is an Airbus A330 parked in a strip mall parking lot, and it has a cafe inside. To enter, you have to purchase a “boarding pass” at the “terminal.” You get to sip your bubble tea or iced latte in an actual retired aircraft, complete with cockpit views and all the aviation vibes. 🚀 My daughter was pretty amazed!   • Vibrant and tropical, Singapore 🇸🇬 is such a fantastic destination for kids! It’s colorful and multicultural, studded with plenty of green spaces, cultural attractions and kid-friendly parks. I might be biased since I’m originally from Singapore, but I’ve brought my 10-year-old daughter to Singapore 10 times, and the city never fails to impress with its kid-friendly spots. 💛 Comment SG for my free guide to Singapore with kids! 🚇 Traveling Singapore with kids is easy, safe and clean, with great infrastructure and efficient public transport. 💦 It’s hot all year round but almost every mall has a water splash area for kids, and they are all free to enter. Our fav splash pools are at Gardens by the Bay and Botanical Gardens. 🍼 Kids are welcome everywhere, and almost every restaurant and mall has facilities like diaper changing pads, nursing rooms and kid toilets. 🏢 Most museums offer free entry to kids under 6, including the National Museum and ArtScience Museum (Fridays). 🧫 Food is outstanding, and there’s cheap local eats everywhere. Hawker centers and food courts are the best places to go; but there’s also no shortage of international restaurants and fast food. 🎢 Lots of attractions offer discounted family packages, such as the Sentosa Skyline Luge and WildWildWet. 👋🏻 Hi!   • 🌍✈️ Because we chose to be digital nomads, THIS is our office/home for the week. 🌍✈️ We landed in Santiago, Chile 🇨🇱 a few days ago and we’re spending the week here before heading to Patagonia! We’ve settled into a rhythm: Alberto and I work in the morning, while Kaleya works on her activity books and has breakfast. At noon, Kaleya and I head out to explore first, then Alberto joins us in the afternoon. Santiago is fantastic for digital nomad families — there’s high speed internet, lots of kid-friendly spots to explore and great amenities within easy reach. We’ve booked a comfy 2-bedroom apartment for $100/night, with work space and kitchen amenities. Here’s how you can save money in Europe with your family: 🛝Europe is packed with free outdoor play areas for kids: like London’s Hyde Park, Vondelpark in Amsterdam and Madrid’s Retiro. 🏛️Most museums like the Louvre, Prado and Colosseum offer free entry for kids under 18. 🐑 We don’t support zoos, but many petting farms like Amsterdam’s Ridammerhoeve and Lisbon’s Quinta pedagógica dos Olivais offer free entry for kids. 🌊 All beaches in Europe are public (free to visit)!   • 🚐✨ For the longest time, I dreamt of owning a campervan — hitting the open road, stopping where we wanted, waking up to a new view every morning. When we finally did it, and spent the summer road-tripping all over France 🇫🇷 , it was everything I imagined and more. 💫 We swam in alpine lakes, slept under the stars on mountaintops in the Pyrenees, chased sunsets on beaches along the Côte d’Azur. We cruised through lavender fields 🪻 in Provence, parked by sleepy villages, and ate decadent cheese from local markets. We didn’t have a fixed itinerary; we just drove where the road took us. Not every day was picture-perfect, but every day was meaningful. 🚐✨ For the longest time, I dreamt of owning a campervan — hitting the open road, stopping where we wanted, waking up to a new view every morning.
